Check youtube for any moves you want to learn. There are a ton of really great pole tutorials on there!

I recommend this to any girl who’s in my position where there’s no one to teach you, you’re low on money for classes, but still want to learn some moves while you have some free time in the club.
Ladies, please don’t go on Youtube, see dancers doing their thang, & think you can easily do that too…refer to this post first.
However, I learn better when someone is actually beside me versus watching a video 50x & would rather heal up (ribcage issues) so I can slowly do what I used to know than push for myself harder than my environment allows…especially since I’m switching clubs afterwards anyway >_>

This is actually a bad question to ask since I’m in a period of relearning & learning things so here’s an overall history.
When I first started it consisted of a lot floor technique, hair flips, and general dancing. Over time I got confident & worked towards pole poses/holds while being taught by other dancers who were much more experienced than I.
I took an 8+ month break for school (along with a recent hospital visit) so currently my dance routine is one set of pure dancing/tomfoolery to stretch, then a mix of floor routines that transition into many pole swings & poses, & finally a last set of general dancing.
I would be one of those girls who posts pictures & videos of themselves dancing but I don’t think anyone here (including myself lol) wants to see that.
Sidenote: It sucks that I switched to a club where I’m one of the few who actually know the basics of pole dancing so I can’t learn from others & will have to pay for classes or continue learning on my own

it’s such a shame people are still so ignorant about such a beautiful sport
not everyone that pole dances is or will be a stripper, and it doesn’t always have to be sexual. sometimes i just wanna fly away to a land where no one’s prejudiced about anything and defend myself, my job, and my sport of choice and we can all be happy and eat lots of yummy stuff and nothing hurts
